If you live in London then get thee to this amazing exhibit soon! By native Congolese photographer, Baudouin Mouanda, the exhibit centers around a self-named group called La Societé des Ambianceurs et des Personnes Élégantes (or The Society of Tastemakers and Elegant People) who fashion themselves after dandies from 18-century Paris. Their dress may be in stark contrast to war-torn Congo however, La Societé champions hope and gentlemanly behavior. Mouanda's exhibit will be shown at Gasworks Gallery until mid-September.
There are a couple articles at The Guardian, AFP, and the Leica Camera Blog
